  1. Seriously, if Stroud is there (he won't be), the Bears still have to draft the best OL/DL player on their draft board at 9. Don't give me any [expletive] about value. There will be multiple players in the draft at OL/DL who will have plenty enough value to justify picking them at 9. They have the 9th pick and then drop all the way down to 53 for the next pick. It would be malpractice.
  2. It should be a multiple value judgment, BBA + current needs. You could have a player at the spot you are picking who is clearly the best player on your draft board, but he isn't the best fit for the current needs of the team. In a perfect scenario, you would be able to trade the pick and get some extra value and get the player who at that pick, is the BPA and meets needs. That perfect scenario doesn't exist in the NFL draft due to other teams' needs and values. I want them to draft the best player available that meets the current needs of the team. A wide receiver who is BPA is great, but it doesn't appear to fit the needs of the Bears. So you overdraft a guy who might be available at some later pick that you don't have, what is the problem?
  3. will it have the same address? I have it bookmarked.
  4. Howard will be in AAA by the end of the season.
  5. They'll be able to see it from the moon.
  6. I was going to call Tim a jinx, but you said it better.
  7. Given their needs, it should surprise no one when he drafts an OL or DL. If he doesn't, he's too smart to be a GM in the NFL.
  8. Let’s go Schwarber.
  9. The catcher’s gear for Japan looks like it’s from 1973.
  10. Time for a come back
  11. That Japanese dude crushed that ball.
  12. I wish the Cubs had a better owner.
  13. Nothing against Japan, but this game would be way more fun if the we’re playing PR or DR. Turner!
  14. I was kind of on the fence about the pitch clock but after watching a few of the games, I’m pro- pitch clock in a big way.
  15. How in the hell did Lars Nootbar wind up on team Japan?
  16. I made a thread
  17. 58 commercials in a row and still waiting for the game to start.
  18. Let’s go USA, USA, USA!
  19. Should we have a game thread for this?
  20. When I click on it it goes straight to youtube. No Fields anything.
  21. I sure wish I knew what was on that video
  22. Wasn't that a concern when they drafted him? I mean, it's a concern with every pitcher, especially hard-throwing ones. I don't remember hearing anything specific about his motion that was a concern, though. He had to be shut down from pitching his senior season due to arm problems. https://www.tapinto.net/towns/west-essex/sections/sports/articles/paterson-s-nazier-mule-looks-forward-to-bright-baseball-future-after-being-drafted-by-chicago-cubs-89ff7112-fc55-42aa-a949-8df85016fd3f
  23. I would be very opposed to it. Either it's a rule or it's not a rule. At the end of the game, the team leading by a point does not get a do-over on a shot clock violation.
