    Kind of humorous to hear the ESPN guys talking about a slow 6’5” safety drafted and the middle of the 6th round as a difference maker.

    After the draft is over I’d be interested in hearing what everyone thinks is the best pick and worst pick in the draft and the Bears best and worst. Should be worth a lot of chatter.

    This draft is almost like a Rorschach test for people. The have so many needs, so depending on a person’s perspective, Poles is either doing well or screwing up. From my perspective, he’s addressing needs in their order of importance to making the team better. I don’t know enough to comment on the actual people they picked, but the strategy appears sound enough to me.

    Does anyone want to take a guess at what the Lions were thinking with their 1st pick because on the face of it, it makes no sense? It's not a position of need, nor a pick based on value.

    Yes, I think rounds 2-4 will be defense heavy.

    The use of science to improve pitching has progressed at a much faster pace than hitting. Guys can do stuff with a baseball now that they couldn't do before. Also, the use of data to position players has exploded. I think the launch angle stuff is a bit overblown. You want some guys to hit the ball in the air, but it's not the same for all players. It's just much much harder to get hits.

    If Fields puts up great numbers, like top 10-15 in yards, TDs, completion %, etc., cuts down on the sacs, and the offense scores a lot of points, but the defense cannot stop anyone. Wouldn't people be able to separate that? I think a more likely outcome is that he's basically the same guy with fewer sacs and more passing yardage. If he still has problems with the swing passes and short-yardage accuracy but is able to hit on long passes and can still get yards with his legs, the Bears are in a tough situation.

    lol, I saw a video on Twitter of Levis putting mayonnaise in his coffee and drinking it. That would be enough to for me to scratch him off my draft board.

    It's so horsefeathering stupid how ponderous the NFL draft has become. I know it's to wring out every last quarter, but they used to do the entire draft on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday Morning.
