  1. I see a kid who is learning and getting better at recognizing pitches. He has plenty of room for improvement as you noted. He's not swinging wildly at balls in the dirt or showing he's made his mind up to swing no matter what. I think it's easy to put him into a box given where he's from and his profile to date, but I think there is more and better to come from him. I'd hate to see the Cubs trade him and then watch him turn into a perennial all-star. Just in case: I'm bookmarking this page. LOL
  2. With as much progression as Morel has shown in the brief time he's been on the big team if they trade him, it better be for top quality. I'm talking about a top-20 prospect or an established guy. He's barely a year into his career and already showing tremendous progress. I don't believe he's always going to be a high strike-out guy. He's not Javy.
  3. Is it really the majority of Bears fans doing this or just a few on the internet? I'm not seeing it, by and large.
  4. I submit that Nico has been the sung hero along with Bellinger. And that Morel has been the unsung hero. Give him reps at one position.
  5. It's going to be quite an exciting end of the season with this many teams still in the hunt. Those last three in Milwaukee could be huge, might I even say, "must win"?
  6. He's still learning and has shown great adjustments at the plate already. His defense has taken a big step backward. Not everybody can be Ben Zobrist. Unfortunately, his best position is 2nd and we have locked in Nico. if it came down to it, I'd rather trade Nico than Morel.
  7. Ryu coming back front TJS. He’s a strike thrower, but hopefully they can show some patience and get his pitch count up.
  8. Odor should come out and clock him again for this.
  9. They are saying the start is delayed for some reason.
  10. Anyone on the mlb ap for the audio and they are playing some drunk dude droning?
  11. PCA showing the plate discipline last night.
  12. Bellinger always looks slightly baked in interviews.
  13. Not to set this off the rails, but I didn't like Boog at first (he was replacing Len), then I sort of liked him for a minute or two, then I went right back to not liking him at all. He's frequently making mistakes on calls (which he doesn't need to make at all because we can see it), he's overly talkative in a benign but inane way, and he's just not a local broadcaster. I still get the feeling that he's being dropped in and flown out of Chicago after games. He also might be the only person on the planet more into FB and GB percentage than our very own Tom.
  14. Wesneski can't get lefties out. He'll meet the same fate as Adbert. He has no business in a starting rotation.
  15. That looks about right. Maybe Wicks a little higher, Brown a little lower. Not sure how Wiggins gets into the top 25.
