  1. i have no idea what has happened to him. he's playing like he's afraid to throw the ball.
  2. ole miss looks like a bad high school team.
  3. play worse, snead.
  4. sweet, holy cross scores twice in the 4th quarter to tie it up but we left them almost 2 minutes on the clock, and our defense has been lousy today. we need to win this to have a chance at an at large for the fcs playoffs and if we go undefeated we probably get a home game in round 1.
  5. great we're going to lose to [expletive] brown. oh well at least it's not a patriot league game.
  6. holy cross has been called for about 35 holding penalties today... this is [expletive]
  7. man illinois is [expletive] terrible
  8. conditions won't even be good tomorrow night. i guess it depends how willing they are to put up with temperatures in the 30s.
  9. BC has 0 completed passes and 3 total yards of offense. Awesome. as a holy cross grad, and third generation holy cross alum, all i can say is :rotfl:
  10. no they won't... they'll either tread water or move up if teams ahead of them lose. nobody wins by 70 points and moves down in the human polls.
  11. boston college is down 34-0 at the half to va tech, who isn't even that good. bc is a fraud.
  12. i'm pretty sure that i could make 50% of PATs.
  13. i'm listening to the holy cross-brown game online. there cannot possibly be as many great catches as the announcer is making it sound like... it's a game between a patriot league and ivy league teams, not exactly premier athletes. i think our announcer is an old guy who is impressed by everything.
  14. http://www.nesn.com/2009/10/curt-schilling-explains-why-cb-bucknor-is-not-a-good-ump.html between bucknor's various blown calls in game one, cuzzi's horrendous miss last night, and the overall ineptitude of mlb umpires, something needs to be done. that bruce froemming's career as an mlb umpire lasted 37 years is a testament to the lack of accountability for mlb umpires.
  15. game 3 has been colded-out... tomorrow looks like another cold one (highs in the mid 40s) so mlb in its infinite wisdom (greed) has scheduled the game for tomorrow evening, rather than playing when the sun is up. good planning.
  16. how do you take a talented dump?
  17. haha i wish the cubs' history was such that not winning the world series for 9 years could be considered "disastrous"
  18. special? they've won 26 championships, which is more than double the number than any other franchise has won. their payroll is about 33% larger than that of any other team in the game, they've been leading their division and league for most of the year, they have more talent than any other roster in the game, and were probably favored to win it all going into 2009. how is this special at all? Jealousy is unbecoming. if i wanted to root for a team that wins i'd just give up on the cubs and pick the yankees or red sox or something. really, how is it special? imo it's not even a big deal to win in the first year of a ballpark - it's a lot more meaningful to win right before they tear one down.
  19. And 25th in UZR. No kidding? Ouch. I wonder what on earth could cause that large of a disconnect. flawed defensive statistics... there's no way to logically explain it otherwise.
  20. my friend posted this on facebook and it's kind of the reason i have trouble taking the yankees and their fans seriously: special? they've won 26 championships, which is more than double the number than any other franchise has won. their payroll is about 33% larger than that of any other team in the game, they've been leading their division and league for most of the year, they have more talent than any other roster in the game, and were probably favored to win it all going into 2009. how is this special at all?
  21. the guys who hit the game-tying and game-winning home run are making about $12M less than the entire twins roster.
  22. i think that one landed foul.
  23. well that ump cost them a run.
  24. if the twins don't score that umpire is going to get murdered in the press.
