  1. For a golfer those terms could have a double connotation. :D i guess you could say a lot of us outdrove tiger woods yesterday, yuk yuk yuk
  2. considering we've finished ahead of milwaukee, cincy and houston in each of the past three years, i'm not really sure what BBB was getting at there.
  3. MF'er Windermere.
  4. The announcer keeps calling it The Drive. he's trying way too hard.
  5. perhaps the worst two-minute offense in the history of football.
  6. why are you calling a slow-developing play action on 3rd and 14? who's really concerned about you running the ball at that point?
  7. if they could [expletive] tackle anybody they'd be better than a 6-6 team in the mediocre big xii.
  8. haha the giants just look awful tonight. i enjoy that.
  9. wtf is with texas' defense tonight
  10. boston had a hard time with the sixers tonight, when the sixers were on the road on the second night of a back-to-back, with lou williams, elton brand and marreese speights out of the lineup. wtf???
  11. Wed have probably ended up with Dewon Brazelton or Colt Griffin and 2003 might not have happened. Steve Bartman would be at home quietly enjoying his headphones and turtleneck. In the book Cubs Nation, Gene Wojciechowski spends a day interviewing the Cubs' draft team and they tell him that we'd have taken Mauer if Prior was gone. if prior went first then the next pick had to be either mauer or teixeira or mauer... couldn't go wrong with either one, really. brazelton went ahead of tex because the d-rays were cheap and floyd went ahead of him because the phillies didn't feel like dealing with boras after the j.d. drew fiasco.
  12. play worse, flyers.
  13. you really need to get over this "everyone is out to get notre dame" thing. you really need to get over this "dave kaplan is a reliable source" thing. i don't even know who dave kaplan is, but he reported that clausen was in an altercation and had a black eye, which is true, so what's the problem.
  14. you really need to get over this "everyone is out to get notre dame" thing.
  15. yes, signed as at age 16 out of the dominican republic. i don't think he received much of a signing bonus.
  16. I think they should be in the championship game whether Texas loses or not. But, that obviously won't happen. You think we could actually see a team outside the power conferences make the championship game this year? I'd absolutely put TCU in the title game if Texas slips up. Their SOS is just as good as Cincinnati's and they blasted BYU and Utah, their two biggest games. It would take Cincinnati beating Pittsburgh in a similar fashion in two weeks for me to change my mind. i'd say beating clemson on the road was more impressive than beating utah at home. clemson is now up to 8-3 and ranked #15/16 in the polls. tcu this is reminds me of utah in alex smith's last year there; undefeated and ranked in the top 5 not because they play in a "soft" conference, but because they're that good. i'd love to see tcu play the loser of the sec title game, but it probably won't shake out that way. most projections i've seen have tcu playing the winner of the acc (hopefully ga tech) in the orange bowl. it would be awful if clemson won the acc and we got a clemson-tcu rematch.
  17. only 4 years older than pujols, who knew
  18. man these teams blow.
  19. They probably won't, but they should. No, they really shouldn't. You don't get offered a month of practice to help develop players and just say "no thanks". not to mention the money that the school gets from the bowl game can go to other athletic programs, and you'd be turning down a bowl in the midwest that your fans could very easily go to. plus they'd be filling up a stadium in a region where the economy is in the toilet. but by all means, turn it down because it's "below notre dame football" to play in that bowl.
  20. man your offensive line gets no push whatsoever.
  21. no, terrible play call. the guy jumped the route because they had just run that exact same play. the throw was where it was supposed to be.
  22. throw it away buttnuts.
  23. he tapped his head after the play... not surprisingly, a guy who hadn't played at all this year was gassed after running 72 yards.
  24. i really don't think oklahoma st matters. they have 2 losses in a mediocre conference and don't even sell out their own 60,000 seat stadium. iowa and penn st are clearly better options.
  25. i have him on a keeper league team and have been really disappointed wit him, but i wasn't sure if he's playing badly or the offensive line is just awful.
