    Well that's because it was a ball. Don't worry; the Cardinals may scratch across another run or so, but they're pretty bad about putting up a big first inning then sleepwalking through the rest of the game. If they go to Narveson, the Brewers still have a chance to win. Go away, boo hoo we backed into a playoffs and are gonna win it all. snayke stopped watching in july and declared that the cards had no chance to make the nlcs.

    marcum was bad in september too. and soft tossers tend to do more poorly in the postseason. great season brewers, see you in a few years after you rebuild your farm system. go rangers.

    if john lackey is jogging onto the field on opening day, i'd say their starting rotation will have some serious problems.

    yeah an epic surge playing .650 ball against the likes of the cubs, astros and pirates. they made the playoffs because the braves went 8-18 in their last 9 series, against a lot of teams that had nothing to play for. also your spelling is terrible.

    He's 22 and struggled at Daytona. I imagine plenty of folk will jump to the conclusion he's a bit fringy. well if the reason they're jumping to that conclusion is because "he's 22 and struggled at daytona" then those people are fools. it was his first full season of minor league ball and he spent the previous offseason playing football. he's been a two sport athlete for his whole life and villanova isn't exactly known as a college baseball powerhouse. if a baseball-only guy out of vanderbilt or ucla struggles in his first full-season ball at high A, maybe you can guess that he's fringy. saying the same thing about a guy who played football for half the year and played small-time college baseball the rest of the time is moronic.

    i didn't see the third goal, but the first two were deflections on net from about 8 feet in front of him... pretty hard for most goalies to stop those.
