well yeah, since everyone thinks atlanta was getting ripped off. the cubs DO have leverage in that they have a good pitcher and they don't have to trade him. if the dodgers make lowball offers, the cubs can opt to not trade him.
She really bothers me. Quit trying to show off your looks (which aren't really there to begin with) and prepare to run. That stupid dancing, "flirting" with the camera crap. Stupid. All of it. There, I said it.
she IS preparing to run. the reason it looks the way it does (in the video you watched) is because the video is done in slow motion.
yeah i think that illinois flew 6 coaches into state college under the auspices of speaking to that one kid (who has apparently expressed interest in going there). obviously they don't need 6 coaches to convince a kid who already knows he wants off a sinking ship. they sent all those guys to try to poach a few other players while they're in town.
yeah shockingly this vague and hastily thrown together arrangement is turning out to be a clusterf. in related news, here's lsu football and its emphasis on academic achievement offering a scholarship to a kid who's going into 8th grade. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8199497/soon-8th-grader-dylan-moses-offered-lsu-tigers-scholarship
didn't we check that box and then it started giving zero points to people who had "too many" pitchers on the bench so as to avoid going over their start limit?
i agree with that. actually there's not much reason to compare most prospects with starlin castro, because most prospects don't hit well in the high minors as a teenager. that being said, amaya is #2 in the NWL at age 19 (yeah there are a lot of 19 year olds there, but there are also a lot of recent college juniors and seniors), so he should be given some props.
a couple of psu players have tweeted that they've seen opposing coaches outside their apartments, and penn state's coach (o'brien) said on mike & mike that players didn't want to leave the football building because coaches were hanging out in the parking lot outside. ncaa football is gross.
At the same age, with the same amount of pro experience, Starlin Casto was at AA Tennessee. Amaya is having a nice season but second base is not at all a valuable position and the NWL is an extremely hitter-friendly league. Amaya isn't even in my top 10 Cubs prospects. huh? the team OPS's in the NWL are: .705, .704, .702, .692, .676, .675, .629, .625.
i know szczur isn't the most popular prospect because his power hasn't shown up in games, but he's leading the FSL in stolen bases and is second in OBP (among qualified batters).
this happened with me and casey mcgehee (lol) at 2b last year. he had been eligible at 2b the previous year and i left him there for part of last season, but at some point he was moved off and then couldn't be put back on because he wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. apparently if you leave a player at a position where he no longer has eligibility, it falls through the cracks.
grossman seems like a guy with a really good eye but not enough power to punish mistakes. i could see him turning into matt murton jr. definitely don't see him as a potential star.
