  1. just watched a replay of the home run; what was with the two guys sitting the row above where the home run landed? pretty sure the ball settled into one of the seats and they just sat there and pointed at it. fuckin slugs.
  2. jeez how could he look so clueless last night and then drill two homers tonight? weird game.
  3. i'm not even a bears fan. your position seems to be that fans of a team shouldn't get upset when the team they follow makes a selection that the vast majority of experts in the field disagree with. like when people were mad that the cubs drafted hayden simpson; i mean, none of us had seen him play so who were we to criticize? maybe he turned out awesome, who knows???
  4. What do you actually know about Kyle Long, outside of his name and the position he played in college last year? if baseball fans can't have an opinion on the drafting of a player they haven't seen play firsthand, then pretty much nobody can criticize any selection of a high school player except for the 12 guys who fly/drive around the country watching them. pretty much all of the people who make a living evaluating college football players and assessing their draft stock think that the pick was a reach. that's plenty of reason to think it was a poor selection, even if you haven't watched every game the guy has played.
  5. you would think pujols would have been able to at least put one of those five balls into play.
  6. congrats guys, you finally got that offensive lineman in the first round that you always wanted jerry angelo to grab!
  7. watkins continues on his quest to be a two true outcomes player. 5 plate appearances, 4 walks and a strikeout. now has 20 walks and 21 strikeouts in 18 games. torreyes had a single, double, triple and a walk. beeler went 7 ip, 7 h, 0 r, 1 bb, 2 k, 15go/0fo.
  8. i think we may have finally found a team we are better than.
  9. for [expletive]'s sakes, the marlins' lineup is composed of hitters that nobody has ever heard of. throw strikes you dick.
  10. bitter sulley face.
  11. The top QBs in this draft are basically the same quality as Jake Locker so I had no interest. Taking a QB in the top 10 this year would have been as bad a pick as the Titans' made when taking Locker. exactly. don't grab a qb just because you need one and then be disappointed when your reach turns into a below-average starter.
  12. barkevious' siblings are named hugh and hughtavious.
  13. when did logan watkins become so walktastic? 3 walks today and averaging more than 1 walk per game.
  14. Um. Yeah, I edited that. Everybody on the NFLN set were convinced it was Lane Johnson and I bought in. yeah well the reason they figured that was because most people assume the eagles want to upgrade at OT, and johnson would be a perfect fit. don't totally understand trading up past the eagles for a guy they probably weren't going to pick. maybe they couldn't get a trade with teams behind the eagles.
  15. somehow jackson is making the marlins' offense look threatening.
  16. drop adrian gonzalez add justin upton
  17. i still have commish powers so i just went ahead and changed my score yesterday - took out the start by hellickson that i wasn't supposed to have. made my matchup a loss instead of a win.
  18. reds batboy with down syndrome asks todd frazier to hit a home run; todd frazier hits a home run. nice story/video.
  19. i was amazed when i looked at a box score and saw that giambi was still playing.
  20. the top of the indians' order is batting for the 6th time... and the game is in the 6th inning.
  21. i think baez and soler have that potential. it's unlikely, but they could be among the top 3 at their positions, regular 5+ war players, which i'd consider a superstar. obviously both are extraordinarily unlikely to be like harper, who looks like he'll be one of the best players in the game for a decade.
  22. and he's 20 [expletive] years old. if we're going to be bad, it'd be nice for a high draft pick to turn into a genuine superstar.
  23. yeah i guess it's arguable if you pretend that scott feldman doesn't exist.
