    the mets had matt harvey and zack wheeler pitching in their double-header today. if i were a met fan i would've walked around all day with an erection.

    zych and mcnutt have been pitching better recently. there are some pretty good arms in the tennessee pen; would be nice if we could end up with at least one reasonably solid reliever out of that bunch.

    given these changes i'll continue to manage my team and plan to stick around, and see if i can just have as little interaction as possible with other people in the league. should be a lot easier to not know the rules as long as the league is simple.

    Ventura please it'd have to be something reasonably good to include villenueva, given that he's got a very team-friendly contract for next season as well.

    the 2014 season opener will be played in sydney between the dodgers and diamondbacks. don't really give a [expletive] about either team, but might have to go just for fun.

    as you said a few posts ago, this league is confusing as [expletive]. i feel like we gave some leeway or warned people if they were breaking a rule, but i understand why we are trying to go away from that. i quite easily could have gotten 7 starts and won last week if i had just released shawn marcum or leonys martin, but the rule is that i lose the starts from the players i was shuffling into the minors, and apparently the guy i added for a spot start to replace the starter who was rained out. but i am probably missing some rules because i've had adam on my foe list for probably 2-3 years and am not really interested in changing that. it was easy to ignore his abuse after making a trade or regular complaints about other people in the league, but now he's the commissioner, so it's not so easy to ignore him. there's enough to deal with in life; what's the point of volunteering to be abused by somebody in your free time? anyway, none of this should really be a surprise. when you choose a commissioner who's a dick, some people aren't going to want to stay around. such is life.

    fair enough. you're the commissioner and i accept the decision. that being said, i don't agree with how the league is being run, and don't like some of the changes that have been made in recent months, so i'll be leaving the league. my roster will be left intact, since i think there is a pretty good base for whoever is to take over for me. i have paid through next year so whoever takes over gets a freebie.

    seems rather crazy to lose those points because i broke a rule which i was unaware of and apparently isn't listed in the rules. but whatever, adam is commissioner and can proceed as he sees fit, and then i'll decide how i want to proceed.

    so i'm going to lose last week because i lose all the points from miller, teheran and whoever i picked up (didn't even need to do that), from a "mess of a roster" that was illegal because my starter hit his allowable starts a week earlier? what about everyone else who has players in the minors who shouldn't be there, or people who have had third basemen at shortstop all year?

    Was Teheran really at 10 starts all of last week? I didn't even know that was the limit. I'm on vacation so I'll fix it later today. What is the limit for batters? I have Gyorko on my bench (maybe? Trying to manage vis the mobile is a cluster [expletive]) so I'll have to move him down or release someone.
