  1. i would normally say that was an ill-advised tweet, but given their fan base, it was probably a huge hit.
  2. somebody write a front page article about why quintana sucks so badly.
  3. i'm just going to have a gander at eloy's stats and quietly sob in the corner.
  4. trading that fat guy for montgomery was a good move.
  5. one batter faced, one home run allowed. this new guy seems like he will fit right in with the reds pitching staff.
  6. jeez i'm glad i'm not a reds fan, these guys suck.
  7. man avila should have crushed that slider he struck out on. belt high, middle of the plate.
  8. i wasn't around earlier, but i stand by everything negative i would have said about john lackey.
  9. Justin Wilson has a higher WAR this year than the ENTIRE Reds starting pitching staff combined. Think about that.
  10. i was kind of wondering how the reds are so bad despite a number of hitters having career years. this game is answering my questions.
  11. pretty sure goldschmidt would surpass bonds' single-season record if he could play against the cubs every game.
  12. i can't decide if i haven't gotten too upset about the mediocrity this season because we won the world series last year, or i've just kind of accepted that the cubs for one reason or another just aren't that good this year.
  13. he wasn't a great manager but i always had the impression that he was a nice guy, something that can't really be said for dusty, who is a douche. rest in peace, donny buntball.
  14. darren daulton died. he had a particularly bad form of brain cancer. i will remember a few things about him. one, the mullet. two, how he weirdly went from a relatively inept and light-hitting catcher to an all-star practically overnight. and three, his 1987 topps baseball card, which i got so many of that i just started throwing them away. i must have had at least 20 before i got sick of them and tore them up.
  15. he's not throwing the fastball because he doesn't know where it's going when it leaves his hand.
  16. i would say this is the paul goldschmidt game, but every year when we play the d-bags there is at least one paul goldschmidt game.
  17. [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. at this rate baseball america might just choose to cut off the cubs' minor league prospect list at 15 rather than include another 15 players of minor league filler.
