  1. I will say one thing, at least he was man enough to sit there and not lie to Congress like Palmeiro did. He might not want to admit to steroid use, but at least he is not willing to lie about it, which at least gives him a couple points up on the character scale.
  2. Good news Buckeye fans... your team is pulling out all the stops to win it all in the upcoming year! http://www.sportspickle.com/features/volume5/2006-0104-osu.html
  3. You Illinois fans will enjoy seeing Luther Head's step back three to send Houston's game into double overtime tonight. Very, very tough shot that he nailed.
  4. Yeah, that's what I figured. Sucks. Hopefully he can get his surgery soon and be ready to go by the start of next season.
  5. Brian Dawkins EDIT - by the way, I think Ed Reed is better than both Dawkins and Polamalu...
  6. Overated? Troy's the best in the game at his position. I disagree. He's only good at run support and drawing flags. His pass coverage sucks. I would say he is a very good blitzer as well, but you are right. He is probably below-average on pass coverage, and there's no way a safety can be the best in the NFL at his position if he can't even be average on pass D.
  7. DIE COORS LIGHT TRAIN DIE
  8. is there anything to like about the steelers? Cowher is a really good coach... aside from that, no there is not much to like about them.
  9. Haha, smart play Polamalu.
  10. Go Bears... Panthers fans should stick to Nascar.
  11. Steelers jump offsides and Bengals get called for holding???
  12. Zero. If they don't feel he can play on it now, he won't be coming back into the game. If he felt like he could play, he would be in the game, regardless of what might have happened to his knee. It's on Kitna to win or lose.
  13. Can't type the appropriate phrase on here, but (poop) on Pitt.
  14. Good thing they're starting with a 10 point lead then...
  15. Yes, their defense has always been this way. The number of a-holes they have on defense, plus their hick 250-lb mulleted fans (and I'm talking about the women), are the reasons that they're my third most hated NFL team - behind the Giants and Cowboys.
  16. Why is Cincy looking like they're dead already? Didn't Jon Kitna have a really solid season before Palmer replaced him? Injuries happen... sack up and find a way to win, fools.
  17. Boy I am mad that I work the night shift and had to sleep through the 1:00 game, it would have been great to watch the Giants roll over and die (and Eli completely choke) at home in front of their crap-eating fans.
  18. There is speculation that Poz will be back for his senior year... By the way, this is great: What a warrior... suffers a major knee injury and wants them to just throw in some cortisone and get back in the game. Not many guys with a certain NFL career ahead of them would want to do that.
  19. I hate dumb people. Generally I just dislike people from New York.
  20. Well, I am proud to say that I picked the first game correctly. All-around, I thought before the game that TB had the better team, but unforuntately they also had Chris Simms at QB. And going back 5 years, one rule is simple to follow - never pick Chris Simms in a big game. Games against OU, bowl games and Big XII title games constitute big games, and he choked in those, just like he choked today. If Brian Griese is the Bucs' QB, the Bucs win that game today.
  21. Maurice Evans. They just announced side by side at the Army All-American Bowl. if they get Sam Young and/or Antonio Logan-El, I'll be more than satisfied. I think Young ends up at either USC or ND, but I do think Logan-El will come to PSU. Maryland didn't have much of a year to speak of and is getting blown out by PSU in recruiting this year; it's hard for me to see much of a reason for Logan-El to go to there. I also think that JB Walton, the #4 ranked OG in the country, will likely choose PSU over Nebraska.
  22. One very, very important commit to PSU today - Maryland CB AJ Wallace. He was rated by Rivals as the #1 cornerback in the country and picked PSU over Ohio State. With the entire secondary graduating, he is much needed. Also, the #87 player in the country and #4 DE committed to PSU today. The class is looking very strong now, and if they get one RB they're going after hard and 1-2 OL, this will be one of the strongest classes Paterno has had.
  23. I just saw at halftime of the NC State-UNC basketball game that league sources have said that the Texans will select Reggie Bush with the first pick in the NFL draft. Everyone feel free to PM me with suggestions for IMB's new avatar!
  24. Call me a homer, but I think the Texans might draft Michael Robinson first overall and put him at QB.
  25. OK, you're on. What if they use the pick on someone other than Bush though? Then we're both wrong. I am not going to consider this scenario as being possible unless Young turns pro, however.
