    Very nicely written Vance... did a good job of praising Dierker without feeling the need to bash Baker. I'm glad they printed that. I'll be even happier if the Cubs take your advice.

    Well I guess I'm in that league and all, but somehow my team name ended up NSBB... can I change that? It's boring.

    I'm confused, what's going on? I tried to check the league message board but there are no posts, at least as far as I could tell. I'm signed up for the one that has 10 teams in it now. Roast meant to move the draft forward in that league but forgot to so most people were caught unprepared at the time of the draft. He has created a new league named "NSBB Football" with the password "cubs". He asked everyone to move to the new league, but I don't see why we can't do both... I'm already doing like 424098 fantasy football leagues; I don't think I need to do 2 leagues with the same people and the same rules.

    So, I'm participating in a Big Ten Fantasy Football draft this evening, and I'm wondering what other Big Ten fans think would be the top 5-10 picks in the draft. I've got my list... let's see how they match up.

    It's very similar to Duke-UConn in the Nat'l Semifinal in 2004, or Maryland-Kansas in 2002... everyone knew the winner of those games was the champion. The final was just a formality.

    That would be amazing. I would love it. Don't hold your breath... Howard, Utley and Hamels are the three untouchables on that club. Maybe Brett Myers too, but it's hard to know because of his off-the-field troubles.

    Well I voted for the Doors, even though I knew they'd lose. Zeppelin will get my vote from here on out.

    Boy, I was excited about Bicondoa's numbers until I saw that he's a 27 year old reject of the Yankee system.

    Quite a few did doubt his ability to succeed, saying, amongst other things, that he only had one pitch and that his FB wasn't good enough. The fastball stuff was ridiculous. If a LHP can't succeed with a 90 mph FB, someone should've told that to all those lefties who have spent 10+ years in the majors while throwing in the upper 80s.

    I'd love him to add another pitch. I thought he added a change at some point? He did -- he just needs to use it a little more.

    Yes, but the sample size was also too small for him to be declared a bust, as many were doing after a few poor outings last year and this year.

    Impressive for a #8 hitter. Well, impressive for a catcher too. The NL Central has some pretty good hitting catchers this year; Ross has been good in Cincy, Barrett for us, Paulino for Pittsburgh. Don't forget Yadier Molina! Oh never mind, he can't hit his weight.
