  1. Castillos baserunning blunder ended Game 3...thats about all I can think of of course, the Marlins' good hitters didn't start going 0-for-the-series and their pitchers didn't throw the ball away every game. Love how McCarver and Buck get done saying that the drop in RF was Edmonds' fault, and now McCarver says they have to sub for him defensively right away because they can't take any more chances with him out there. The fact that fox has them on this series and not Brennamen and Piniella is a joke. These guys are freaking cheering for the cardinals. Of course, it was fun in 2004 to watch them root for the Cardinals and then get disheartened as the Red Sox thoroughly outclassed their beloved Redbirds. go to hell weaver
  2. Edmonds is actually a big Britney Spears fan, that's why they played it

  4. eckstein is such a scrub
  5. wish the marlins had given away games like this
  6. Oh, I was just praying for a proctologist joke when they showed Ledezma with a rubber glove on
  7. two more ground ball seeing-eye singles by the Cards. Boy they've got those down pat.
  8. there's the Home Run Weaver we all know and love!
  9. guess they've been watching the tigers fielding too much this series
  10. i miss rooting for a competent baseball team
  11. if not for the mute button, that mellancamp song would have driven me insane by now
  12. because it's inexplicable, or because you know it'll result in us picking him up next year? it's inexplicable. The Cards picked up a turd and it was a diamond in a month. its not inexplicable - its duncan. if that's the case, then the Cubs should throw an $8M per year contract at him, sign a bunch of bargain bin free agents, and watch them get good. More effecient than signing guys who are already good.
  13. hey look another out with RISP... didn't see that coming!
  14. 1-1 game! oh wait detroit ran their way out of that run
  15. The best part was Buck saying "Eckstein delivers again..." yeah, the glee in his voice was a little too apparent
  16. Cardinals must be hitting .800 in the playoffs with 2 outs and RISP, and their opponents are hitting about .008.
  17. here comes the inevitable 2-out RBI single from the garden gnome
  18. because it's inexplicable, or because you know it'll result in us picking him up next year? it's inexplicable. The Cards could pick up a turd and it would be a diamond in a week.
  19. watching Jeff Weaver pitch well makes me extremely irate
  20. Ankiel got boned out of strike 3, but a nice play by Guillen saved el Tigre.
  21. It's fine. They have to win 3 games. Verlander has to pitch one of those.
  22. Jeez, whoever was drafting ahead of me in the even-numbered rounds must've been on autodraft... he picked like 6 power forwards, including some that i wanted.
  23. Why is it so difficult for everyone here to discover that the REALLY good players are absent from this list. The black, latino, dominican, and other minority players are the ones in the running for the MVP honors--an award that none of these guys have a chance to win. Why not someone like Orlando Hudson from Arizona? He had a good year, and is just as much of a "role player" as Eric Byrnes is. How about Coco Crisp in Boston, Alex Cintron from the White Sox, Edwin Encarnacion or Brandon Phillips from the Reds. Solid leadoff hitters like Brian Roberts and Ryan Freel made the list; why not put on Curtis Granderson from the Tigers? As someone noted, people have their preconceived notion of what constitutes a role player. It's a gritty, scrappy guy who works hard to get where he is. It's unfair, but many people seem to assume that minority players inherently have all the talent in the world and don't need to work hard to achieve big things athletically.
  24. If someone drafts a guy who isn't Ken Griffey or A-Rod, and guarantees that guy will make the big leagues, he's either lying or has way too high an opinion of himself. Albert Pujols is a prick. Hope he's proud that he's part of the reason an elderly man is stocking shelves at WalMart instead of doing what he loves. How depressing that he'll soon have a world series ring on his finger.
  25. yeah, you are 4-3 and i am 3-4, and you have 70 more points than me - i guess i should keep my trap shut! :D
