  1. jeez is this announcer blind? nearly perfect?
  2. ok, miami loses and USC will be cooked after this goes through
  3. my hatred for the Big XII grows further
  4. Not Cal or UCLA's. And USC and Arizona have pretty solid defenses too. Oregon State is a bad team that has had a bunch of bounces go their way in the first 3 quarters. Cal gave up over 500 yards and 35 points to a Tennessee offense that really isn't that good, and around 500 to Washington last week. Their defense isn't that good.
  5. jeez the defense in this conference friggin SUCKS
  6. It's the ACC that has screwed me over this year in my pick em league. another conference with way too many mediocre teams. NC State? Va Tech? Florida State? Miami? Too many teams that can play really well or really badly.
  7. Is it really an upset for Ga Tech to lose when Reggie Ball goes up against a talented defense?
  8. man, i hate the big xii... i do a college football picks thing, and i don't even want to know how many points i've lost this year picking games between the mediocre jumble of big xii squads. It's Texas and everyone else.
  9. solid coverage there guys
  10. rofl nice play there
  11. what's the Oregon State fight song? it sounds like "meow meow meow meow..."
  12. Holy Cross had a big home game against Lehigh, who was also undefeated in the conference. Unfortunately, HC plays a spread offense, and the weather conditions (20 mph winds and an inch of rain during the game) were just about the worst thing that could happen to a spread offense, and stupid Lehigh won.
  13. looks like USC still has some hope... Oregon State has gone to the classic Pac-10 "defense"
  14. so, 1. O$U 2. scUM 3. WVU 4. Texas 5. Louisville 6. Auburn 30. ND
  15. game over, see ya USC
  16. I believe that was me. I was a little...busy last night. I offered you a trade, IMB. Also I am over stocked with 3p shooters. If someone needs one, offer me a deal. offer me a trade... i want a better PF (like duncan or howard)
  17. Luckily for you, STL is not recruiting for new citizens at this time. boy, that would sure be a tough sell. Hey look, we have an arch!!! We also have a baseball team. You can also... uh.... well ok, that's about all there is to do here, but seriously, come live in St Louis!
  18. Rooting for the Cubs, Flyers and Eagles makes one numb to the pain really quickly, actually.
  19. are you kidding??? the end of the 2004 season was about as fun as a fart in church. A fart in church is fun. The end of that season was about as fun as a doberman biting you in the nuts. yeah, and of course the only Cubs game I attended all year was the most painful loss of the season, the one that sent them on a downward spiral. I really need to rant about sports. I'm going to work and sleeping, then I'm making a rant.
  20. I would rather have him be asked, "After watching the World Series, have you finally figured out how important a lead-off guy getting on base consistently is?" Don't ask him that. If he believes you, then he'll think that only the leadoff man needs to get on base, and that he can continue to populate the rest of the lineup with losers like Izturis and Cedeno.
  21. yeah, guess what the only Cubs game I attended the entire year was...
  22. No kidding. Korver does bring outside shooting, which the team desperately needed, but his defense is awful. And it's not like he's dogging it - he really tries hard, which is pretty sad if you think about it. On the other hand, the Knicks won 23 games last year, which was 15 fewer than the Sixers, and that was with a very good head coach. Now Isiah Thomas, perhaps the most incompetent man I've ever seen in coaching/management, has the reins for basically the entire Knicks organization. He apparently has seen it fit to build a team of shoot-first, pass-second guards, with absolutely nothing in the way of defensive or rebounding ability. I just don't see the Sixers being as bad as the Knicks. The Knicks are built completely wrong, don't have much talent, and have Isiah at the helm. I seriously could see that team winning less than ten games.
  23. you're lucky. i'm left hoping for an alamo bowl appearance, and hoping that the sixers don't embarass everyone by finishing behind the knicks.
  24. (insert name of 1 of 24 other Tigers) did not.
  25. are you kidding??? the end of the 2004 season was about as fun as a fart in church.
