  1. not necessarily a waste... keeps the other team honest in the next game they play
  2. Honestly, I don't do it anyways. Sports media is awful. I know. I don't know why I do it. I need to stop. http://www.cv.nrao.edu/~abridle/videoconf/control_mute.jpg
  3. Indy allowed Ron Dayne to run for 150 yards and 2 TDs. By the way, the Eagles also lost to Jacksonville. Dallas beat Indy. So did Houston. 's advocate>
  4. It has already started. Collinsworth just just said in uncertain terms that he would play Griese in the second half and if he does anything, he would start Griese for the playoffs. That's why Collinsworth isn't a coach. That's a stupid statement. Yup. Like it or not, the Bears have cast their lot with Grossman. You don't change quarterbacks after the last game of the regular season - that's just an asinine idea. And while my thoughts on Grossman are known, the offensive line is not giving him any help. They look completely overmatched in this game.
  5. boy you'd really hate Andy Reid then
  6. Therein lies the problem of having no motivation in your last game or two. Lovie Smith is trying to keep them going by having the regulars play, but they really know that the game means nothing. So they play like crap, and now this is bad for confidence heading into the playoffs. But if you don't play the starters, then they're really rusty after 3-4 weeks of no real game action. It's being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
  7. I don't watch many Bears games, but Jones' rushing average is nearly half a yard better than Benson. There might be some reason everyone hates Jones and loves Benson, though.
  8. I hated Charles Woodson the last couple years when he was on the Raiders and this makes me hate him even more. He had 6 interceptions in his final five years with the Raiders. Three of those years he only played half the year but still. 6 picks in his final 54 games with the Raiders and 8 in 16 games with the Packers. is he on a 1-year contract? It really seems like this is the first year he has decided to show up since about 2001. 7-year deal. I love NFL contracts... I think Doug Fluties is signed through about 2024 with the Chargers.
  9. ok i'll make my picks now, and by that i mean throw darts at a dartboard and see what happens: NFC Philly beats NYG Seattle beats Dallas N.O. beats Philly Seattle beats Chicago Seattle beats N.O. AFC Indy beats KC (but NYJ would be much better for Indy) NE beats NYJ NE beats SD Balt beats Indy Balt beats NE Seattle beats Baltimore Is this my pick because I picked Seattle to win the Super Bowl? Probably. More realistically, I think Baltimore beats New Orleans in the Super Bowl.

  11. this field condition would be acceptible if there were actual bears being kept on the field all week.
  12. well if you guys are lucky the NFL will start letting cornerbacks physically assault receivers as they try to get off the line of scrimmage, and manning will become good again. go away mushin
  13. wow that extra point and the field goal were two God-awful kicks.
  14. I swear, I didn't wish injury on him... just poor play and a decision to sit the starters by the end of the first quarter.
  15. He went at least in the 5th or 6th in every league I was in. Congrats on getting him so late. I actually got him in the 8th round of 2 drafts. In one of them, I picked him just after such all-stars as Nate Burleson, Rod Smith, Kurt Warner, Eddie Kennison and Dominic Rhodes. In the 11th round of that draft I took Drew Brees, and in the 14th round I took Maurice Jones-Drew. My starting roster was QB: Eli Manning, Drew Brees RB: Tomlinson, Willie Parker, Frank Gore, Jones-Drew WR: Marvin Harrison, Roy Williams, Houshmandzadeh, Eric Moulds, Deion Branch TE: Heath Miller K: Vinatieri D: Pittsburgh, Jacksonville Needless to say, that team fared quite well.
  16. That's what I thought. It went past the LOS. yeah but it sure didn't look like he ever left the tackle box.
  17. Unless the guy holding the plastic dish is an eligible receiver, isn't that intentional grounding?
  18. Well, it's not too early to start thinking ahead to next year. We get to keep 3 players in our NSBB fantasy league, here are my choices: QB - Peyton Manning RB - Willie Parker, Shawn Alexander, Frank Gore WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams
  19. well, it's 8.2 points... so basically you need 80 yards or a touchdown. Better give the old man the night off, Bears!
  20. I'm torn between being strangely attracted to Pink, and being completely terrified of her.
  21. hopefully the bears will give their most important player, mushin muhammad, the night off.
  22. yup... F$U in the Emerald Bowl was funny too.
