  1. So apparently this espn thing called Accuscore (sounds like a rip-off of a certain weather forecasting compnay :D ) has the Bears with a 39% chance of winning the game, and has the average score as 3.5 points in the Colts' advantage. My question to Bears fans is, you know this is one game that may not necessarily represent which is the better team. Would you be happy if you knew that in a completely accurate simulation, the Bears had a 40% chance of winning the Super Bowl?

  3. by the way my team is now 7-0 in conference... your teams are not...
  4. well I've got one game left and one game left to get to 100 wins... oh, the drama!
  5. well i pm'ed tree and told him to pick furcal since i'd be busy for a while, but he didn't, so that's who i pick... now it's his fault if this gets delayed.
  6. Seriously? Hey they looked into the steroid thing. Duke wins at least two games a year because of terrible clock keeping, how does this happen we have replay to make sure this crap doesn't happen. By the way best avatar ever. No kidding... Congress can't fix real problems, might as well fix stuff like the gift they got last night. By the way, against Virginia Tech there was a similar clock situation (clock didn't start properly on an inbounds pass) and the refs stopped play and arguably took off too much time. Funny how they don't review a similar situation when it would hurt Duke.

  8. I should be in, I need to avenge getting completely screwed over in 2005 by that cheating Cards fan.
  9. man this is frustrating being in a fantasy league with competent people, a lot of guys I wanted have been picked this round. Hurry up tree.
  10. I narrowed it down to him or Morneau. I think they're both fantastic options this year, given that they may well improve over last year's performances.
  11. It's certainly possible that he could be very good, but you're going to have to accept that he won't break many long runs, and he'll have his limitations. I saw Jones make at least three runs where there's just no way Benson could've broken them like Jones did. He'll have more positive yardage plays, but not as many where he bounces outside or uses a burst to bust a big run. Jones doesn't break long runs. He's far more agile than Benson. I'm thinking of one run that he made in the last game, where he was about to be bottled up and then cut and broke it outside for about an 8 yard gain (think he got down to around the 2). Watching that play, I thought that there's just no way Benson could have made that run. He'd have plowed into the pile and picked up 2 or 3.

  14. everyone whose teams are still undefeated in conference play, raise your hand :truffleshuffle raises hand!:
  15. Well, I've been called a troll at least twice today, so I figured I might as well make it official.
  16. That explains much yeah guess the rule about personal attacks doesn't apply when bears fans make them LOL, yeah right. Touchy touchy. drop it already.
  17. yeah plus stokely is a scrub, they replaced him with another generic 3rd WR
  18. I don't think that's true at all, especially on this board, where fans tend to be more informed than the average fan. From what I've seen, the Bears have the best defense in the league, but a below-average quarterback and an offensive line that isn't always good enough to keep pressure off him - which is when he really struggles. I think the Colts will win because I think they're a bad matchup for the Bears - they're the best passing team in the league, and that's where the Bears can be beat. I hope for the Bears' sake that they don't buy into the "let's just run the ball all game like Jacksonville did" bull. This isn't 1994-95 Nebraska versus Baylor, these are two really good NFL teams playing in the Super Bowl. I'd like for the Super Bowl to be competitive, especially since I won't be able to watch until the second half. Actually, New Orleans was the best passing team in the league, and it didn't help them much. In passing yards, yes, but Indy is certainly the more efficient passing team. The game was played in weather not conducive to throwing the ball a lot, and the Saints were missing Joe Horn, who's either their best or second-best receiving threat. The Colts have all their receivers healthy and unless there's a front near south Florida, the weather shouldn't slow down the Colts' passing attack.
  19. I just don't understand people getting their panties in a bunch about Reggie Bush. Unless your team doesn't have trash talkers and taunters on it - and we all know that our teams do - don't get pissed that other teams do it. Outside of taking a dump on the other team's logo at the 50 yard line, there's not much of a level of disrespect between one action or another.

  21. That explains much yeah guess the rule about personal attacks doesn't apply when bears fans make them I think you've made your fair share as well. not so much, but at least you're a colts fan so i know you're not punishing me for "hating" the bears.
  22. That explains much yeah guess the rule about personal attacks doesn't apply when bears fans make them
  23. the national media hates the colts! Seriously, what's with the trolling? You're acting more and more like an Eagles fan every day. The national media has unloaded almost an unprecedented level of hate on the Bears this postseason. To pretend otherwise, or that Bears fans are paranoid for thinking this is just complete ignorance of the facts. and you're acting more like a bears fan every day
