    The ball came right at his back and was coming at about 62 mph tops. There's no reason he should move. except for the umpire isn't supposed to award a batter the base if he makes no effort to avoid the pitch.

    Cedeno has only played 41 games though, which is barely half of Iowa's total. Apparently Rottino was chosen as starter, and then the other guy from Tucson became the backup. Still, Soto got boned.

    Soto got boned... he easily has better numbers than the second catcher on the PCL team: Rottino: 297/368/473/841, 12 2B, 3 3B, 7 HR, 40 R, 30 RBI, 11 SB, 6 CS Soto: 320/390/555/945, 17 2B, 10 HR, 29 R, 47 RBI, 0 SB, 0 CS

    how on earth in a 12 team league does someone have santana, peavy and crawford? Especially Santana and Crawford... Santana should have gone in the top 5, and Crawford shouldn't make it past 12.

    willingness to give the kids a chance, plus the awareness that sometimes pitchers get tired and should be removed from the game (starters) or given a day off (relievers), are the two things I like most about Lou. Or I guess I should say, like about Lou over Dusty Baker.
