    I mean, they are 2 games below on the road (maybe 3 after tonight). One string of decent games and their road record isn't so bad. Not many teams dominate on the road.

    this makes no sense..they had a chance to score AND they forced burnett to throw more pitches AND they may get another bat because of getting to the plate this inning. Seriously, how is it a waste to have 2 guys on and your #4 hitter up. So he didn't come through. This lineup SHOULD be able to cause problems 1-9, but not with Patterson in there.

    His minor league numbers aren't horrible, but they don't project to anything special either. I could care less about his minor league numbers. He's no Longoria or Bruce, no reasons to expect him to come up and have an immediate impact starting in his first two games up. He looks terrible, and is the type of player I'd expect to get a starting chance on the Pirates or Nationals, not the Cubs. I hope I'm wrong and he hits a 3 run jack to take the lead later this game, but I won't count on it.

    Why not Fontenot at 2nd and DeRosa in Left. At least a little more experience against Burnett. If a bullpen right is brought in then maybe use Patterson. Patterson has not looked good yet is his small samples in the bigs.

    Anyone else wondering why immediately upon coming up EPat is being counted on? Having Hoffpair and Patterson in the lineup tonight kind of weak to me.

    I think the reaction to Soriano dropping the ball and overall this particular loss is pretty funny, including my own reaction when he dropped the ball. The fact that this team has not won one series on the road other than the sweep in Pittsburgh is the issue.
