Allrighty, tally's are in and (due to a tie) we have FOUR finalists:

 

Wilkerson

Pierre

Bradley

Michaels

 

So, Which of these four do you think would be the best fit? Discuss.

 

Depending on what we could do to take advantage of the Marlins fire sale (I really like Tim's idea about Castillo, Beckett and Lowell - I would spin Lowell and Walker over to the Twins for JC Romero), I wouldn't mind acquiring Padre Dave Roberts to man CF for one season.

Hmm....Could you fill me in on tims idea? i kinda skimmed over it in the marlins firesale thread, but I'm not positive.

I see CF as Pie's domain starting most likely in '07, so whoever is brought in to man that position this season should really be here for one year as a starter.

 

Pierre will be a FA after this season so he fits. Knowing Bradley's, Michaels's and Wilkerson's contract situation would help. It is probably somewhere in this thread, but I didn't look for it before responding to your post. :oops:

 

If Michaels would be okay to returning to the bench or possibly a limited platoon with Pie in '07, then he might be a real good option.

I think its valuable to note (and forgive me if it already has) that Bradley is not a lock to be healthy by the ASB, let alone spring training. I'll look for the link where I heard that.

CBS is reporting him to be healthy by ST as of last week
