Fantasy football trade advice

This guy offered me Mike Anderson, Willie Parker, and Brett Favre for Carson Palmer and Chargers DST. Our league's scoring heavily favors the QB and WR. Bonus points for long TD passes/catches and, -5 for an INT and 6 for TD, so interceptions hurt. plus this is a keeper league, we keep 3. I am weak at RB but not that weak to get 2 RBBC types. When Staley and Bettis come back Parker will be sharing carries. Mike Anderson is already sharing carries. and Favre is old and throws too many INT's. Am I overvalueing Carson Palmer? I am thinking he will be one of my keepers.

I don't think you're overvalueing him. He definitely should be one of your keepers. He's young, very talented, and has a group of young very talented receivers to work with like Chad Johnson and that Houshamanahdahezedeh guy. Plus a good running game. I don't do the trade myself. I have Willie Parker, Priest Holmes, Julius Jones, Marvin Harrison, RAndy Moss, Dante Culpepper, Jamal Lewis on my team. Willie Parker has more points than every one of them, by a large margin. Pittsburgh has also named him the indefinate starter, regardless of Duece or Bettis' health. Until his play starts to go down he should not share much time at all (per ESPN Inisider) Take the trade, IMO. Bengals have not played anyone with a defense yet and Farve will come around to the point where he will be comparable to Palmer IMO. Maybe see if you can get someone besides Anderson, or check the FA and see what else is out there that you could drop Anderson for. With Defenses always available you are pretty much trading Palmer for those three. Not too bad.

 

PS Who runs that league? In my ESPN league you have to trade an even amount of players. It sucks.

LOL. No I made alot of trades. gave up P. Manning, Ward, Ronnie Brown, Leftwich, Duckett, and a few more people. Got parker in FA before the season started. It was hectic, but I have a few of my friends in my league so I was able to call them and ask them if I can get someone if they would be interested in trading for whoever. It was a lot of dealing, and almost all blew up in my face, leaving me with no one. However with that team I am still 0-2, due to sweetass Culpepper. He has scored 6 points in two weeks. I just don't have the heart to bench him cause I know what he is capable of.

I'm not sure I agree, since this is a keeper league. If the focus was only on this year I'd definitely agree, but from a keeper perspective I think Palmer has infinitely more value than Favre, since Favre is likely to retire at the end of this year.
