My original essay was:

For quite some time now I’ve know that I want baseball to be part of my future. Most kids grow up dreaming of playing in the major leagues, I dreamed of turning a rebuilding baseball franchise into a perennial playoff contender. A lot of people my age watch baseball simply because it interests them, but I watch to study the players, to see what they do well, and critique them in the sense of whether or not I’d want them on “my team” in the future. Too often I find myself thinking as a general manager, applauding and questioning moves made by actual baseball franchises, and making my own plans on what I would do to improve a certain team. I am planning on attending Bowling Green State University beginning in Fall, 2006, and majoring in Sport Management, a program in which BG is known nation-wide for their excellence. I am confident I will eventually “Break Into The Biz Of Baseball,” but winning this internship would allow me to do just that sooner than expected.

Which was 175, so I cut that down to 100 and it became:

For some time now, I have known I want baseball in my future. Most kids dream of playing baseball professionally, but I dreamed of building a baseball franchise into a success with my decisions. Many people watch baseball because it interests them, but I watch to study the players and critique their future value. I find myself thinking as a general manager often, applauding and questioning moves made by actual franchises. I plan on attending Bowling Green State University in the fall of 2006 and majoring in Sport Management. This internship would dramatically help my chances of breaking into baseball.

I hope it got it in on time. I pushed submit at 12:00 ET according to my computer clock, and the deadline was 11:59. However, I didn't get any message that said the contest was over, so I think I'll be okay. If anyone entered, did you get a confirmation email or anything like that?
