He had a limited No trade clause, meaning he could not deny a trade to teams not on a pre-determined list. From what I understand, Kerry Wood has a universal no-trade, meaning he can turn down a trade to any team.

There has to be another deal at hand for the Rangers. I about fell off my barstool when I saw this deal scroll across the screen last night.

 

As desperate as Texas is for pitching Park had to go. He was, by all reports, a demoralizing influence in the clubhouse and all but quit on the mound, again according to reports, against Oakland recently.

 

The first thing I thought when I saw this was that Nevin was going someplace else soon. They don't need an outfielder, they don't need a DH and they definitely don't need a first baseman. I don't know why'd they'd trade for him then deal Delluci or Mench, who are much younger and much cheaper.
