Deal Santana?

I'm thinking of dealing Johan Santana in a league I"m in right now. He hasn't been amazing this season, however I think some might (overvalue) him.

 

Deal I'm considering proposing:

 

Johan Santana

Kevin Mench

Jose Vidro

 

John Smoltz

AJ Burnett

Trevor Hoffman

 

I could use the hitting but I need another starter and reliever to go along with Peavy, Halladay, Livan, Westbrook. Roto style and Mench has been absolutely killing me the last couple weeks and I don't even play Vidro since Cantu has been great all season.

Hmm, thats close. I dont see why you need another starter if you got 5 good ones. I would think that would be enough but i play in h2h leagues so maybe roto is different. I think Johan is gonna have another huge second half like he did last year and i'd try to hold on to him. I'm pretty opinion-less on the trade. If having 6 solid starters as opposed to only 5 will help you more than the downgrade from Mench in the outfield then i guess you do it.

I'd probably do that trade if your not sold on Johan. He was worlds better in the second half last year and is starting to look pretty sharp again, especially last night.
