*Pure speculation*

Bruce Miles said in his article today that

The Cubs likely will send Garciaparra to a higher-level minor-league club before reinstating him. He has been out since late April.

Nomar's Peoria rehab will go through July 28th. FWIW the Jaxx are home from July 29-August 4th, while the Iowa Cubs will be at Tacoma and Portland From July 29-August 2 before returning to Iowa for games August 4-August 11.

dusty said last night during the game Nomah would end up in Iowa or W. Tenn, depending on who was playing at home.

And here I was hoping they'd send him to the Pacific NW for AAA rehab on the road! (Wishful thinking...)

Regardless of whether or Not Nomar is there (although I'd love to see him play in Jackson) the Jaxx have great promotions going Friday and Saturday. The Jaxx will wear camo jerseys Friday night and there's a fireworks show Saturday. With that being said, even if people buy tickets in advance hoping to see Nomar they're getting a great deal even if he's not there.

Last year, Nomar came to Louisville on rehab when he was still with the Red Sox. He couldn't have been better to fans and everyone else. He would spend 20 minutes before every game signing autographs and taking media requests. So, if you want an autograph, make sure you take a ball and a sharpie your chances will be pretty good.

I can't get autographs because of the media pass, but I'm sure that the other people going to the game (if Nomar does go to West Tenn) will appreciate the info!

Yeah, no kidding. I made that mistake years ago, and after a few years, the sig bled into the leather and practically disappeared. :x

Strange. I have several baseballs signed in a fine point sharpie and they look the same as they did years ago.

Interesting. I have always gotten autographs in sharpies and have never had a problem. I have an Andruw Jones autograph from July of 97 sitting on my shelf that looks the same as when I got it.
