Yes, I saw that as well. Keep in mind that Zito have been in the league for almost 6 years, and that Zito is 27 and Hill is 23. So who knows? Time will tell.

Hill is 25, not 23.

Ah, my bad then. 1:30 in the morning can do that to me.

I was at the game today (making me 5-0 on the season)...just wanted to say it's one of the wierdest games I've ever seen...Vizquel broke his belt during warmups (and stole 3 bases), Hill fell around 3rd, the guy in the bleachers wouldn't throw the ball back, Vizquel dropped the pop-up on purpose, Alou brought in 5 pitchers in the 8th, Murton slipped in the OF, Aramis made and error and couldn't find the ball right away...and (I don't remember who it was at the time) dropped the foul ball down the line in the "bartman territory" (as ESPN will call it). Maybe those last 2 weren't really that wierd...it's just the fact that this one game produced maybe a good 5-6 spots on the "Not Top 10"

By the way...I thought Hill looked real good...and i noticed the Cubs pitchers let their runners (mainly Vizquel) get huge jumps

Here's an awesome picture... ever notice how Z is always in the middle of celebrations. Z is the best.

That's been pretty much a problem as of lately, for some strange reason. Not sure what is up with it. *shrug* Of course, Hill is a rookie, and I guess he was more worried about trying to get the batter out. I didn't watch the game, but I listened to it on the radio, so I guess someone else will have to clarify it.

HOLY JESUS THESE LAST TWO GAMES HAVE ROCKED!!

THANKS TO NEIFI, WHO DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE TO BE ON A MAJOR LEAGUE ROSTER! I DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE FACING HIGH SCHOOL PITCHERS!

OMG HIS TWO BIG HITS TOTALLY MAKE UP FOR HIS COSTING US OUT THE WAZOO FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

It's a start.

Textbook hating: the guy wins not one but two games in a row and some still give him crap. Can't let him have his moments for even a moment. Textbook hating. Thanks for making a great game a little less positive - goodnight.

ZZ-

I'll give Neifi his due. I think it's fantastic that he's been able to contribute to winning some games for us. I also think he's an okay bench player. However, he's definetly not an everyday player, and I think the joy of his successes is tempered a bit by the knowlegde that, when played 5+ times a week, he becomes a detriment.

That said, if he wants to keep driving in big runs, I'm not going to object.

And, just for You, ZZ...I'll even give Dusty credit for a game well managed. He used Remmy correctly, PH with Murton late and Macias early, and double switched with Cedeno. Well done tonight.

I too apologize if my comments made you upset.

my mind was already made up that I couldn't stand him, and these two hits aren't going to change my mind, but it was probably an inappropriate moment to bring it up.

c'mon back ZZ.

LOL, Neifibashing doesn't really make me upset. A bit annoyed, but it's a message board after all. I just had to go to bed! But I appreciate it, and I'll bet Mama Perez appreciates you not bashing her son.

Credit for Dusty? Wow, somebody frame this post.
