This is what confuses me about you guys.. you were salivating over having Beltran, who is an avg .260 hitter, but you don't want damon who is an avg. 290 hitter and a leadoff hitter we need.

IMO, if you are going to sign an OF this season (or offseason), or trade for one, he has to be of a calibur such as Dunn, young, prodigiousl and has alot of things that our team needs. Johnny Damon, while he could be a nice addition, is not that player, that you should be giving a 5 yr, 50-60 mil contract to

However if the price is right, and he doesnt get that deal from anyone, and is willing to go 3 yrs, 30 mil, im definately interest. Also the same can be said of Brian Giles.

This is why i think we need to go all out trading for Dunn this yr, because he could definately be a mainstay in this organization for at least 5 yrs.

Because Beltran is twice the player at half the age of Damon?
