Neifi's numbers don't matter. He could be hitting .210 and making errors every game... He would STILL start over Cedeno.

 

Why? Because Dusty is a MORON.

wow...

 

when i started this thread i was expecting someone to say that Neifi has a sore back or something, but aparenlty its nothing less then him just being a sub par hitting SS. With SS's like Tejada and Jeter and *formerly* Arod and Garciapara, our perception on a good shortstop has risen tremendously. Neifi, although i agree tremendously that he is sub par, is still an adequate player, just not an every day player anymore.

 

Now, for Cedeno, In AAA he was a very good hitting SS, who has faltered since coming up. If Dusty wont play him, i think he should go back to AAA so he can atleast play, especially with Nomar coming back, because seeing this guy go to waste would be a real shame
