He's the first to get 3000 hits and 500 HR when he gets it.

No way, 3000 hits is a big deal. Just like 500 homers. And in palmero's case, he will have done both.

Haha, no. Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray have all done it. But, thats still damn good company.

and the ASG MVP grounds out with Palmiero on deck. I hope Mariners score no less/more than 2 runs so Palmiero can lead off the 10th.

Hawkins comes in for the Giants with 2 on 2 out and a 2 run lead, gives up a ground rule double to make it 4-3. Goes 2-0 than intentionaly loads the bases. He strikes out Werth to end the threat.

Man, I'm just glad that we don't have him anymore. I just got enough ulcers from watching him trying to save a game.
