Good piece on OTL tonight on the triple crown. General consensus is that Pujols and Arod probably have the best chance of winning it in the near future.

The kicker though came at the very end when the stat-guy from baseball prospectus said emphatically that Lee's shot at the triple crown this season is being "killed by Corey Patterson and Neifi Perez."

Maybe Dusty Baker was watching.

p.s. Somebody tell Peter Gammons that the Nationals DO NOT have the best record in the NL. Tonight was at least the second time this week that he has said that.

Haha, I loved that part, and loved that piece. Mainly, I missed a lot of it though because of my man-crush on Andre Dawson. Dude was my all-time favorite player. He was my friggin idol as a kid.

But yeah, far too early to talk about the triple crown. It's like talking about DiMaggio every time someone reaches a 20-game hit streak.

It's amazing though. Looking at his stats, if he were a Cub now putting up those same numbers I'd probably hate him, since his OBP is usually horrid.

But when I was 10 I didn't even notice things like that. All I knew is that he hit homeruns, and had a cannon for an arm.
