Ok the album should be updated sometime after todays game!

Any request for players (besides Grant Johnson, who I'll be getting)

The weather forecast doesn't look good. Right now, the severe t-storm warnings are for Cook and Lake counties. Hopefully it manages to stay as far north as possible.

The Chiefs website is down. :x I guess I can try listening in through the Kane County website if it's not up by this evening. I can't pick up the Kane County radio station where I live.

Yeah, I saw that this morning. The KCC webcast is decent. I've listened to their broadcast several times when they played Peoria b/c the volume is actually fine.

The volume on Peoria's online broadcasts is evil. And Peoria's website was down last night itself, and it's still down.

The Smokies are having fireworks at the game tonight. With that being said, the Jaxx should be playing before another big crowd after getting the second largest attendance at home last night.

Pawelek gave up his first earned run of his professional career today. Yet another bust of a 1st rounder for the Cubs. The dude is 0-2 for crying out loud! What a loser!!

Just kidding, of course. In 5 2/3 innings, he has struck out 12 batters and walked 4. Thats a nice 3-to-1 ratio, but more impressive is the Ks/9. He is on pace to average striking out over 19 batters a game. I think Kerry Wood struck out 20 once, but has never come close to averaging that!

In all seriousness though, it nice to see that Pawelek is making them miss down there in Arizona.

Rain delay in Kane County.

ETA: Estimated start time 7:15. Hope everyone who got there early is prepared for a long evening! :)

The Chiefs web page says that Sisk was promoted to West Tennessee.

The Peoria Chiefs in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs have announced that infielder Aaron Sisk has been promoted to AA West Tenn of the Southern League. The Chiefs will add reliever Victor Ramos from Boise of the Short Season A Northwest League. The move leaves the Chiefs one player short of the 25 man roster limit.Sisk will be in West Tenn in time for their Monday night game at Tennessee while Ramos is expected to be in uniform for Monday’s 6:00 game at Kane County.

This sorta sounds familiar:

The addition of Ramos gives the Chiefs 24 players, one shy of the maximum roster limit. The Chiefs will have just three bench players while carrying 12 pitchers on the roster.

The Jaxx are currently destroying the Smokies. After 3, the Jaxx are up 10-0 on 9 hits and they've left 5 on base

The Kane County Mgr has been tossed 3 times all year ... all 3 times by the current ump crew, which will be calling the home-away series.

Confusion in Tennessee as Adam Greenberg hits a shot that looked to be a HR but was ruled that it hit the top of the wall and ended up a triple. In any case the Jaxx are up 11-1.

Missed how it happened, but now it's 11-0 Cougars.

I'm guessing Johnson isn't pitching any more. :?
