What up!

There has obviously been a tension between coaching philosophies for decades now, and it is determined based on what the coach deems a maximum intersection of team values and individual values. Of course, coaches, when they claim their philosophies, often believe that theirs is the best road to success. But I believe that environmental circumstances and the nature of the team also determines what philosophy should be applied.

Ultimately, baseball, like the other world in a philosophical sense, is meaningless. It only serves as a means to an end, as all of our other ventures. But the values that can be derived from it are invaluable. It is a contradiction, in and of itself.

The question is: Which coaching philosophy is the most ideal, and should the "best" ideal change under different circumstances and teams?
