I freakin' hate the Brewers. I'm beginning to think they are messing with the integrity of the game of baseball. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- that team only plays about 18 games a year and it's only against the Cubs. I've said they lose 7 of their next 10 and they're already off to a good start with a 2 game losing streak. I hate that team... but not as much as I hate the Cardinals.

I will continue to "out" the Milwaukee Brewers until they show me that they are capable of playing good baseball against any other team than the Cubs. Coming to play for only 18 of the 162 games on the schedule threatens the integrity of the game. I hate the Brewers, again not as much as I hate the Cardinals but it's getting almost close.

The Brewers haven't played well over the last month. I'm curious if they do their usual 1982 Brewers kind of hitting against us then go back to being the bad Brewers once we leave.

Of course they will.

They will have Cy Whomever pitching every game, and they will come up will all the clutch hits.

Right now, the Cubs look like a slumping team again. I honestly could see them not picking up another win until after the White Sox series. :(

I will continue to say it: The Brewers put out maximum effort against the Cubs. I know I'm not paranoid, but if the Cardinals had played the Brewers last night, the Cards win it 9-2 or 5-1 or 7-2. In other words, it wouldn't have been a nail biter. I can't believe Carlos Lee went hitless against us last night. I think he wasn't used to seeing the Cubs in their gray jerseys. Once back in their blue or pinstripe jerseys, he'll go 3-4 or 4-4. Then when the Cubs leave he'll have his patent 1-11 series. I really don't like the Brewers.

So dalgreen, what do you think of 'Cy' Santos?

This guy is unbelievable against the Cubbies.

I just don't get it.

Yeah, but it seems like he's pitching well in general. If you have a below .500 record with an ERA under 3.00, then your team isn't scoring runs for you. Let's get 'em again tonight.

I second that.

With two homers?

You called it.

Yeah, I'm being silly but I'm going to follow the Brewers/Twins series this weekend and I guarantee you they don't play the Twins as competitive as they did the Cubs. I hate the Brewers. Not quite as much as I hate the Cardinals, though.

How about that Bill Hall too? Eleven homers for the year...., three of them in this series alone!

I'm with you dalgreen, the Brewers really chap me!

Last night's game is another example of why I hate the Brewers. I sincerely think they always bring their "A" game against the Cubs and drop off a little against everyone else. A blowout for us against the Brewers is when we win by three runs. The Cards have had little trouble with this group. And for some strange reason, Milwaukee seems to play some of its worst defense against the Cardinals, but seem to be gold glovers against the Cubs.

brewers come back from a 4-0 deficit tonight to beat the cards.

that ridiculous Cardinal luck/mystique/destiny/whatever saw them start Hector Luna and "John Rodriguez" at the corner OF spots...and get 3 hits and a walk out of them.

And, to think, the Cards may have been able to win that game if one of the "most knowledgeable fans in baseball" had interfered with Hall's double. The guy who scored the winning run would've had to go back to third leaving the game tied at 4-4. Now if the Brewers can win the last two. The Cards have had pretty good games against Sheets, though.
