How fast could Palencia move as a reliever?

If they were in contention last September, the Cubs would have called him up for their bullpen all the way from high-A.

I still think they are going to try and see if he can start. I think he has a sore arm or shoulder issues.

As I was the jinx for Jordan Wicks, I am the anti-jinx for Ben Brown. He only craps the bed when I don’t get to watch. Seriously, what the hell happened to him today? Ugly.

He pitched yesterday in Arizona so he clearly isn't hurt.

The Cubs pulled the plug quickly on Luke Little starting and Palencia is similarly Rule 5 eligible this offseason and combined with the starting depth, they're probably more willing to quickly push him to the pen.

I couldn’t believe any of the 3 homers he gave up actually got out.

I did not know he was a potential Rule 5 guy. That makes a lot more sense.
