He's been red hot since basically mid June. Honestly just about every bat in the system got off to a slow start. I don't know how fair it is to just yell "Pandemic" and pretend May didn't happen though.

I think the way to look at it is by saying it's progress. It's not where you start it's how you finish (things being equal).
