21 runs between the Hot Rods and the SB Cubs, Brennen Davis and Wander Franco combined to go 1/8 with two walks and 3 Ks. Franco had the hit, a triple, and both scored a run apiece. Davis, in arguably his worst game offensively with SB, reached based once and scored the winning run because he's still a badass.

Just because nothing else really went on, here's a gif of Davis from earlier this month that I think offers a great snapshot at how physically loaded he is what with the bat speed, swing mechanics, premium frame, athleticism, and the glyven with the glaven and the home run baseball:

------

While Davis has mini-slumped, a slump where anytime he did do something it felt like an impact moment (breaking up a no hitter and perfect game, scoring the winning run), Roederer had himself a nice couple days. It would be convenient if he started hitting a little this year. While the weak season to this point seems to be largely ignored in lieu of the upside ceiling development card, good performers aren't not developing and it's definitely the preference to see a bat first guy actually hit.

----

BG and SB have seen each other ten times already, have similar records, are talented teams (BG has Franco, Liberatore, Baz, Betts, whoever else), but the MWL is so loaded this year that they have the 5th and 7th best records in the league. The Dodgers', Twins', and Astros' affiliates have 3 of the 4 best records. I wonder if their Theos promised dual fronts??!?! It sometimes feels, going on 3 years now, like everyone else's Theo has surpassed the Cubs' Theo

IMO, I think it’s fair to say that Theo hasn’t drafted well in his Cubs tenure.
