I'm very pleasantly surprised with Ademan's performance. I had largely written him off after his performance last year.

oof - Alex Lange was...not good in that game.

Rough day for all the pitchers in the system so far today. Abbott and Mills got bombed also. Plus the seven walks for Marquez.

I'm curious how aggressive they're going to be with Ademan. I could see them moving him up soon since he already had a full year at A+, but at the same time I wouldn't mind letting him dominate for a while and wait 'til after the draft to move him up.

With Ademan, Amaya, and Hoerner all off to such good starts, the top of the Cubs' prospect list actually looks decent for the first time since the Quintana trade.

It's funny, the 2016 and 2017 drafts are to my eye contributing comparable amounts of prospect capital to the system right now. The team didn't pick until #104 in 2016, so the draft haul looks extremely impressive given the circumstances. For 2017...well the middle rounds still look promising?

After dropping game 1 of the DH(Happ HR only highlight) Iowa sends 18 to the plate in the first inning of game 2 scoring 15 runs. Two grand slams

Ha! The I-Cubs hit 1 grand slam all year last season.

And 11 of those 18 runs scored after 2 outs. Clutch.

Underwood sitting 93-95. Throwing a change and a curve as well. The FB doesn't seem to have a lot of movement on it but he's placing it where he wants it with some consistency. He looks physically strong.
