Do we know how hard Hudson is throwing these days? Because he's still pretty young and those Fielding Independent numbers are solid. If/when he some of that projectable velocity from draft time becomes realized velocity he could become a thing pretty quick.

 

Also, I didn't realize Hatch spent all of last year at Myrtle Beach. I'm suddenly much more forgiving of his slow start to the year, seeing as it was his first taste of AA.

MLB.com had him as their Cubs breakout guy and said he's throwing 87-94..... This honestly wouldn't surprise me, if he's still varying that much. His mechanics haven't been great. If he somehow found consistency, he's a guy that conceivably still has lots of upside. He turned 21 yesterday, so might as well be patient.

No broadcast of the Myrtle Beach game today, but I will go back to Hudson's earlier starts and see if any velo reports are given.
