Which one of you was already prepared for Maples being put in high leverage situations?

 

I was. He's going to have outings like this and when you're up in the division, you can put him to the fire and see if he can get past his bouts of wildness.

 

So does this mean you still want him put right in? Not judging just asking.

I guess I don't care that much if when his weekly hometown paper writes a story about him when he's 65 it says his career ERA in three lifetime innings was 14.75 instead of 8.76.

I still would like to. We all know his control is an issue but his stuff might be good enough to get past it. I want to see if we have another potential CEJ or if his control is much worse, and I want to know soon.
