Arizona Phil[/url]"]After ten days off, Eloy Jimenez (on Myrtle Beach 7-day DL - right shoulder injury) returned to EXST game action, playing RF for five innings and batting clean-up. Eloy went 1-3 at the plate, with a broken bat single in his first AB, an L-3 line-out his second time up, and a strikeout (swinging) in his final PA. He made three or four throws from the outfield after base hits (including the first-inning triple to the right-field fence by Costa), and while he didn't exactly cut-loose with any of the throws, he was able to get the ball to the cut-off man on the fly.

Happ and Caratini with HRs for Iowa

Happ adds a two run double in the 6th

And Caratini follows a 2 run single

Michael Rucker at South Bend: 10.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 18/0 K/BB, 1 HR

He now has a 36/1 K/BB in 23.1 IP as a pro.

Maybe we found our Jonathan Holder

Zack Short continues to kill it at SB. After his 2/2 with 3 BB and a triple his line is .278/.441/.505. So far only 9 of his 28 games of his games have been at short and he's committed 6 errors in those. But he had 10 in 38 games at short at Eugene last year so maybe there's some hope? The 20.5% walk rate is real nice, as is the 16.5% K rate. But at 5'10 it'll be interesting to see what happens with the power. 4 HRs and a .227 Iso is pretty far out of line with his 1 HR and .087 Iso at Eugene.
