Hockin (3 IP/4 Ks) and Rucker (2/3) with 5 perfect innings between them for SB. They're two of the harder throwing college arms from last year, don't think either has an injury history.

Yeah I really checked out on the draft last year. Would be cool if a few took off. This article on Hockin was interesting. Harmon Killebrew's grandson, so figure there's some athletic ability to work with. It does say a little something about an elbow thing but doesn't say anything about missing time.

"...His numbers this season weren't as good as in previous years -- mainly due to experiencing slight elbow tenderness midseason -- he possesses closer-type stuff with a fastball that can run up to 97 mph and a slider that sits in the upper 80s."

Lot of nice words in there about the slider.

"...His fastball is a plus pitch, but his slider is his best pitch"

Hockin supposedly has a very violent delivery. I remember reading things that mentioned that somewhere.

Miller is very projectable, but so is Clark. Clark went into last season as a guy that had the potential to be a first rounder. But, he had serious trouble starting last year. The early reports this spring mentioned he looked as if he had started figuring things out. Based on size and velo, I'd lean towards him having more upside than Miller(not a knock on him either). I'm genuinely interested in both.

If I remember, Silverio doesn't have great stuff and has had some makeup concerns on top of that. But, he's been off my radar for a little while. So, maybe he's taken a step forward.

I'm creating the ridiculous "Candelario > Bryant" club right now. Jeimer was easily the best player of the field and needs to be return some powerful MLBer that gets us another World Series victory. The arm, defense, bat, it was all there tonight.
