My friend and I have already planned out a drive up to Chicago if they make the World Series. We'll be there for the homestand.

Must meet the logan. I fly in Friday morning assuming we win this weekend.

I don't know where we'll be, nor do I know where the best places to go are so I'll keep my eyes posted here for that if I'm not able to hang out with my friends that are already there. Unfortunately all my in city sleeping options are taken so I'm gonna be having to commute to and from the suburbs.

Here's a question related to that: During the weekends (or during big city events, i.e. a friggin Cubs World Series), will the Metra have late night trains to the suburbs (Milwaukee District West line)? I'm trying to use the Metra website to find out but they changed their scheduling system from the last time I used it and it's all wonky on my browser and not displaying properly for some reason.

EDIT: nvm, found the PDF schedule. Looks like their latest train departs at 12:40AM

I'm surprised that they wouldn't have additional trains if the Cubs made the World Series.

Although Chicago is broke as horsefeathers.

good news! Metra is mostly funded by other sources. Which are also broke as horsefeathers

I suppose it's possible they'll make those concessions if they win this weekend, but as of right now that's their default schedule.

As a suburbanite who only gets to Wrigley a few times a year now, realistically how early do I need to get to a Wrigleyville bar before it's one in one out for tomorrow night's game? Thinking Murphy's, Sluggers, Vines or Bernie's - places right by the ballpark.

I want to be in Chicago right now. It's horsefeathering killing me to not be there. Just to roam Wrigleyville, soaking in the atmosphere. horsefeathers.

Kinda off-topic but this seemed the best place to post this. When the Cubs win this series I will gladly pay someone to get me a copy of the next days newspapers. I will be in Chicago the week before Thanksgiving and can certainly meet to pick it up, or if you prefer you can ship it to me at my expense.

Sorry I missed this. I brought home a Sun-Times Extra I picked up at 415 AM at O'Hare. I would've gladly picked one up.

I have to say, Saturday Night was the greatest experience I've had at a sporting event. I won't make it to a Series game, but just to be there in the Bleachers to soak in what happened is something I'll never forget.
