I'm stuck with the Brewers feed and just saw a commercial for a Cowherd and Whitlock show. I'm sure this isn't something brand new in this instant, but it's the first I'm seeing it. does this dumbass show have an audience?

Ridiculously, it's still just 4 runs with plenty of time against the [expletive] Brewers, yet it stupidly feels nigh-impossible.

 

Yeah, not to go Rondon Fan, but they haven't given any indication they have five runs in them today.

Deadspin refusing to call that garbage show anything but All Takes Matter is one of their few shining moments in recent years.

In a lot of the deadline deals we have been talking about, I've been looking at it more from a playoff perspective, i.e. getting Chapman really is two weeks rather than two months in terms of a rental. But at what point, if at all, do we start to think that maybe we also could use guys to make sure we actually win the division? Or is that still a lock?

 

Fangraphs has us at about 94% to win the division, so I guess it depends on your definition of a 'lock'

It was only a few months ago that no lead felt insurmountable. Cubs down 6 in the 5th inning... no problem!

 

Those days were so glorious.
