We've talked over the last few years about the fact that third base has no longer been a premier offensive position. This year seems to represent a shift. Assuming KB can stay at third, I think it continues.

This is somewhat arbitrary, but let's look at qualified 3B with a wOBA over .350. That's an OPS around .800 for most situations in this run environment.

 

2015: 7 (one at .350 exactly)

2014: 5

2013: 6

2012: 7

2011: 6 (one at .350 exactly)
