Basically, from what I'm reading today, everyone thinks the Cubs are going to own in the second half. Buster Olney also talked on sports radio here in KC this morning about how the Cubs are about to take off and how easy their schedule is coming up.

Was just looking over some of these numbers for Arrieta:

 

0.99 WHiP (excellent- 1.00)

2.60 FIP (>excellent- 2.9)

2.72 xFIP (>excellent- 2.9)

69/67/72 ERA-/FIP-/xFIP- (>excellent- 70)

26.5 K% (>excellent- 25%)

5.3% BB% (great/excellent- 6%=great/4% great)

 

So, um, yeah.

The best part about Cubs baseball right now is that it's just going to keep getting better and better. It almost seems like common sense that the Cubs would play better in the second half, if for no other reason than experience.
