Schwarber 3/4, 2B, K

Edwards 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2/1 K/BB

Are we already at the point where it's basically useless for Schwarber to even be in the minors hitting-wise? He's already overall more advanced than Bryant was at this time last year, which is almost unfathomable.

[expletive] MLB and their dumb ass DH rules.

As much as the big league club needs offense, I'm wondering if calling up in hopes of being anything north of a disaster in left outweighs the benefit of leaving him in Iowa to become an almost serviceable catcher.

If Schwarber were called up to play LF, wouldn't that effectively put Coughlan on the bench since they're both lefties? And Coughlan has been on a tear the past month or so. He's been one of their better hitters after a slow start. Coughlan has his deficiencies in the field, but would Schwarber be an upgrade? And I don't see a scenario where both of them are playing at the same time, especially once Soler is back, playing in RF.
