I agree with the general idea that pitchers are probably often the smarter players on the team, but the rest is unproven bunk. BUNK, I SAY. Now create a new game thread.

 

There's always going to be a bunch of stupid romanticizing with athletes like this in any sport.

 

He's not some magical chessmaster who leaves hitters crying in confusion because nobody has ever tried sequencing on them before.

 

He's just a guy with a borderline sinker, average curveball, good changeup, and good command.

I think you're being pretty dramatic Kyle. All I said is having a mind for the the game, and intuition, is really helpful for a pitcher.
