I'm wondering if anyone here can help me in my effort to find an article on the Interwebs that I remember fuzzily but not well enough to locate via Google. It was an analysis (I want to say on BP, although my searches on that site haven't turned up anything) of DSL stats, looking back at the DSL numbers of established major leaguers, aimed at finding which stats were predictive of future success — in other words, which stats do you want to look at to tell which guys have the best chance to be something in the majors. For the life of me I can't remember much detail, other than a faint memory that plate discipline (good BB/K ratio for hitters) seemed to augur well. I can't remember the author's name.

Anyone remember this, or know of anything similar? Any and all help is greatly appreciated in advance!

It was actually a Ben Badler piece in BA a few years ago. A quick Google search found nothing, I'll try again in a bit when I have time.

Really? Great! I will renew my search with renewed vigor!

I thought it was more stats-analysis based than I usually see in BA, though. Stupid crap memory.

Thanks Raisin!
