Not sure how we can get 10 hits and get shut out.

I guess the good news is Castro had 3 hits and Shark put up a QS.

Deep breath….

I have to remember that most of these guys won't be here soon, just need to be happy that Castro and Rizzo looked better. Shark was great again, Grimm did well, and Lake was at least Lake.

Have to think in the future- if we have the top 3-4 hitters on 10-11 times in game, with Baez and Bryant hitting behind them, we will score….

the only real downside was Olt still struggling

Allow me to be the first to break out the Reverse Standings, in the hope that this becomes what we call them and not the other stupid name.

Arizona 1-6

Cubs 1-4 (assuming we don't come back in ninth)

Cincinnati 1-4

San Diego 1-3

LA Angels 1-3

I think it may come down to SD and the Cubs. However, I would not be surprised to the Sox and Twins in the running. The only thing helping them is they play each other a lot.

Arizona,LA and Cincy will be better.

Houston + Miami

I hope Theo is embarrassed.

He should be as well as Ricketts. It chaps my ass that the Cubs are in the top 5 of ticket prices, in a large market - and continue to spend like we are a small market team. The league is riddled of top prospects that become mediocre MLB players. Unfortunately fans will continue to re-up the season tickets and be made to look like fools.

maybe I kind think they have taken a step up(baby step) but I think they both win 70. They will benefit a little from their division's teams dealing with big injuries (A's,Rangers, Braves, Mets)- Not to say they catch them, just a bit easier to get a few wins.

Of course they still have to be in the discussion.

One of our problems is that we play in a good division, we actually should be better than both but our record could be worse, same with the Padres.

The Giants, Dodgers should be very good, Diamondbacks pretty good also, with the Rockies similar to the Brewers were they are decent, but just not up to the level of the rest of the division.

One reason the teams in our division are good is because they get to play the Cubs so often.

Kyle, I have no idea why imb thought it was a good thing that you weren't able to make it to this game, but it wasn't.

Haha.

why are people like sweeney and valbuena starting over lake and olt? ever?

why is barney still on our roster?

are you guys having an equally tough time second guessing everything going on with the Cubs right now? I know the plan, etc...but this is tough. It's going to get better, right? RIGHT?
