Great win last night. Craw came up big. One more until the Olympic Break. 1 behind the Ducks (both 59 GP) and 4 up on the Blues (4 more GP).

Ducks were "unstoppable" at home, but have now dropped 2 straight (CBJ and CHI)

Hawks acquire Regin and Bouchard from NY Islanders for a 2014 fourth round pick. Bouchard and Pirri set to Rockford, Regin stays with Hawks.

 

 

Bouchard is clearly just depth, Regin is probably going to get used on the PK a lot.

so Regin is a center...i dont see how we have room for him on lines 1-4 without someone else getting dumped. I watch most of the games, and follow the team, but dont know the roster machinations as much as i do with the cubs. Anyone care to help me here?

Whoa...Kris Letang had a stroke.

 

Horrible news for the Pittsburgh Penguins and their star defenceman Kris Letang today, as the team confirmed that he suffered a stroke last week. Letang has been out of the Penguins lineup with what was termed a “mystery illness” until today’s announcement. Letang will continue to be monitored by UPMC doctors, and will be out a minimum of six weeks, perhaps longer.

I was looking around last night and found info for when Regin joined the Isles and they were saying that despite being listed as a center, he's really just a winger. For now he just takes Pirri's spot, and probably is around to be competition for guys like Bickell who fight to stay off the healthy scratch list.
