I went 73/25 Ricketts/FO. I was originally 90/10, but I can't help but think that Theo and co. aren't a little gun-shy when it comes to big money at this point (and maybe a little too enamored with the whole make your own baseball team from the ground up thing).

See, as much as I don't want to believe this, I keep coming back to this thought over and over. I really think this is a part of it.

i think they feel like if they can't go all in on spending, it's either all in or all out.

Pretty much.

Sorta where I fall. Of course they wouldn't prefer this way, but given the hand they've been dealt they see this as a baseball genius challenge in a way.

Maybe they won't go all the way up to 100M but I find it pretty hard to imagine them not getting at least one more SP and possibly a second (even if it's a Baker injury gamble type) which could put at least another 10-15M in payroll, on short term deals.

I voted 50/50. This is the sort of rebuild that Theo and Jed wanted, but I also think they want to pick up guys along the way who they think will be long term help (Jackson). So far, they've either rolled snake eyes or haven't been allowed to play with the big boys. It's very troubling to me that a business savvy family like the Ricketts can appear so ineffectual and unprepared.
